Dabeli pav with stuffed pumpkin masala recipe

Dabeli pav is a famous snack of  Mumbai. Everyone likes it be it kids, adults and young . This snacks is available on Mumbai  road side. This is easy to eat, take in hand and eat on the go. Generally dabeli pav is made by stuffing potatoes masala but, I created new recipe of dabeli pav. I hope all like this recipe.

Ingredients : 
Dabeli pav
  • 6 pavs for dabeli
  • 6 tbsp green chutney (tikhi hari chutney)
  • 6 tbsp sweet tamarind chutney 
  • 6 tsp red garlic chutney (lahsun ki lal chutney)
  • 2 tbsp butter 
Stuffing for the dabeli ;
  • 250 gms. grated pumpkin (gheesa hua kaddu)
  • 4 grated garlic cloves
  • 4 finely chopped green chilly
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp roasted peanut
  • 4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 4 tbsp pomegranate (anar daana)
  • 2 tbsp dabeli masala
  • 2 tbsp oil
Heat oil in a pan, add grated garlic and chopped green chilly saute for 10 seconds and add grated pumpkin, salt, turmeric powder, red chilly and stir for 10 minutes.Now check whether your pumpkin is cooked and remove from the gas. Now, add finely chopped onion, dabeli masala mix well. Sprinkle the pomegranate, roasted peanuts, chopped coriander leaves on top and keep aside. Now take pav and slit it into two sides at right angle and apply 1 tsp red garlic chutney, 1 tbsp green chutney and 1 tbsp sweet tamarind chutney evenly on the inner side of the pav. Now stuff with 2-3 tbsp of the stuffing. Heat 1 tbsp butter on a tawa and put 4 stuffed pavs and cook both side for 1 minute on the medium flame. Serve hot during snack time.
