Arbi(colocasia) ki sabzi recipe

Ingredients :

Arbi ki sabzi (taro root)
  • 250 gms. arbi(colocasia) peel and chopped
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds(jeera)
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds(methi dana)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 pinch asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves for garnish
Method :
    Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, fenugreek, mustard seeds, hing, bay leaves and crackle. Now add chopped arbi with salt and it cover with lid for 1 minute. Now open lid and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes and add all spices powder and saute for 1 minute and add 1/2 glass water and it cover of the pan and let it cook on medium flame for 10 minutes. After check whether your arbi pieces are soft and remove from the gas, now mix lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with Rice, Rotis.
