Aloo- kala chana curry recipe

Ingredients:
Aloo-kala chana 

  • 1 cup soak and boil black chick pea(ubla kala chana)
  • 250 gms. boiled potatoes, peel and cut 
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion paste
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • for garnish coriander leaves
Method :
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves and crackle it now add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes. Now add onion paste and after 1 minute add all spices powder and saute 1 minute and add tomato puree, salt and it stir for 5 minutes. Now add boiled black chick pea and boiled potato and stir for 5 minutes and add 2 bowls of water and cook it for 5-7 minutes and it remove from heat and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with rice puri,rotis.
