Samak chawal(Glutinous) ki kheer recipe ( phalahari recipe)

Ingredients :
  • 1 cup samak chawal (Glutinous)
  • 4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar or according to taste 
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Few dried fruits (almond, pistachio, cashew nut) chopped 
  • 1 pinch of saffron for garnishing  
Method :

Wash the samak rice with water and put aside for 10 minutes. Now bring milk to boil on medium heat in a heavy bottom pan. Now, add in the samak rice and the temperature will drop slightly and so you will need to wait and bring the milk and samak rice mixture to boil again and stir them and don't covered pan. After 15-20 minutes check kheer and your rice must be cooked. Now, add sugar,  cardamom powder. Mix well. Turn off the flame. Add dried fruits and mix them. Garnish with saffron and serve it cold or warm.
