Lauki with chana dal ki sabzi

Bottle gourd and bengal gram dal ki sabzi
Ingredients :

  • 1 bottle gourd peel and chopped ( lauki chhila aur cata hua)
  • 5 tbsp soaked bengal gram dal
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 garam masala
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • garnish for coriander leaves
Method :
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, fennel seeds, curry leaves and onion saute for 30 seconds. Now add chopped bottle gourd, soaked bengal gram dal and salt stir and then cover with lid. After 5 minutes open lid and stir, add all spices, tomato,1 bowl water and stir it one more time and cover. Now cook for 10 - 15 minutes. Now, check whether your bengal gram dal is soft and sabzi is dry. Now remove the gas and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with rotis and Rice.
