Nenua (Sponge gourd) ki sabzi recipe


















Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg. nenua ( sponge gourd)
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 bay leaves ( Tejpatta)
  • 1 dry red chilli
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds( jeera)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
  • salt to taste ( little salt )
  • 2 tbsp oil

Method :
Take nenua peel and wash with water and then cut into round slices.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds,bay leaves,dry red chilli and chopped onion saute for 1 minute. Then add nenua , salt and turmeric powder and stir it, cover with lid and let it cook on medium flame. Now after 5 minutes  stir and cover again. Keep doing this until the sabzi is dry. After the sabzi dry, remove it from heat. Serve with Rice and Rotis .
