Chana dal paratha or puri recipe

Chana dal paratha

Ingredients :

For chana dal stuffing,
  • 1 cup chana dal (Bengal gram)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 2 green chilly
  • 1 tbsp garlic - ginger paste 
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp black salt or according to taste 
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice 
  • Fry for oil or ghee 
For the dough ,
  • 400 gm. wheat flour ( gehun ka atta)
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 1 tsp baking soda 
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • needed water for dough 
Method :
Soak chana dal 3-4 hr. After drain all water and heat oil in a pan, add  cumin seeds, curry leaves after 10 seconds add soak chana dal and stir it at medium flame.When chana dal is goes soft, remove it from the flame and keep aside to cool. Now take a large bowl and add wheat flour, salt, baking soda, 2 tbsp oil and mix it with hands. Now add water for dough and keep it aside. In a blender, add fried chana dal, green chilly and grind it make a fine powder of it. Now add chana dal powder, black salt, garlic - ginger paste and lemon juice mix well. Now take a piece of dough and make small ball of it, flatten, dust with flour and fill chana dal mix powder and making a round ball. Now dust the surface with flour on the chakla and pat with light hand after rolling round roti  or paratha with rolling pin. Now heat tawa and put paratha on the tawa. Now add 1 tbsp oil or ghee and fry it till it becomes golden brown and remove the plate. Serve with curd, any chutney and vegetables.
