Tendli (ivy gourd) ki sabzi recipe

Ingredients :
  • 250 gm.Tendli, cut into lengthwise 
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 5-7 curry leaves
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp onion paste
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds and mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Method :

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin and mustard seeds. Add chopped onion and curry leaves and saute for 1 minute, add chopped Tendli, cook for 10 minutes on medium flame. Add onion-ginger paste, saute for 1-2 minutes. Add salt, coriander, turmeric and red chilli powder and garam masala. Mix well. Cook it for 1-2 minute. After that add tomato puree and cook it for 5-7 minutes on medium flame. Turn off the flame. Garnishing with coriander leaves.  Serve it with chapati, paratha, puri.
