Sabudana(sago) khichadi recipe

Ingredients :
Sabudana (sago) khichadi

  • 250 gm. sabudana (sago)
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 2 chopped green chilies 
  • 12-15 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 mustard seeds(Rai)
  • 2 chopped potatoes
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/3 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  •  sendhya namak or (salt) to taste 
  • chopped coriander leaves
Method:
Soak the sabudana for 5-6 hrs in little water. Crush the peanuts in a mixer into a fine powder. Now heat oil add cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves and chopped green chiles and let it crack, afterwards drop boil and chopped potatoes and roasted peanuts powder. Now after 30 second add soak sabudana (sago), salt, turmeric, red chilli and garam masala powder and stir on medium flame. Then check whether sabudana is soft after 5-7 minutes, once it is, take it off the flame and mix lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot khichadi.
