How to make simple gajar (carrot) barfi recipe

Gajar (carrot) burfi
Ingredients :

  • 1/2 kg. chopped carrots
  • 2 tbsp deshi ghee 
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup khoya or mawa
  • 20-25 kismis (Raisin)
  • 5 chopped almonds 
  • 1/3 tsp green cardamom powder
Method : 
In a blender,add chopped carrot (gajar) and blend it and make the paste.  Now heat ghee in a pan and add  carrot paste and sugar stir for 10 minutes. Now add, milk and cook for 15-20 minutes and make a thick paste. Now add raisin (kismis), khoya and cook it for 5-10 minutes. Now your carrot mixture is cooked are thicken  and keep out side from heat and add cardamom powder mix well. Take a plate and grease it with 1 tsp ghee and spread it. Then add the carrot mixture over it. Sprinkle some chopped almonds and set  it properly. Put it aside to cool down. Cut it in any shape according to you.
