How to make Kadam (shalgam) saag

Ready shalgam saag
Ingredients :

  • 2 pieces shalgam (kadam) saag
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 green chilly
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil
  • 1/4 glass water
  • 1 tsp butter for garnish
Method :
Wash the shalgam saag with water and chop it. In the pressure cooker, add chopped saag, salt and 1/4 glass water and cook for 5-7 minutes.

After 10 minutes, open pressure cooker. In a blender, add chill saag and green chilly and make a paste. Now heat a pan , add butter or oil and chopped onion and saute for 1 minute. Now add saag paste and stir it. Now after 2 minutes take it out of heat. Garnish it with butter. Serve with roti or paratha.
