Aloo- palak (potato with spinach) simple Recipe

Aloo- palak

  • 1 bunch spinach (palak) clean and chopped
  • 3 potatoes(aloo) clean and finely chopped
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 2 chopped green chilly 
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds(jeera)
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds(saunf) 
  • 1/3 tsp dill seeds
  • 5-6 curry or bay leaves
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2  tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder(sonth)
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, dill seeds, onion, green chilly and curry leaves. After that, add chopped spinach, chopped potatoes, chopped onion and salt and stir well. After 5 minutes stir again and add chilly powder, turmeric, coriander, dry ginger powder and stir, cover with lid on the medium flame. After some time stir and check whether your sabzi is dry and potato, spinach and tomato have become soft. Now remove from heat. Serve with Roti or Rice.
