Mutter- paneer (green peas with cottage cheese) ki special sabzi




Ingredients:
For Sabzi,                                                    
  • 2 cups green peas
  • 200 gm. paneer (cottage cheese)
For gravy,
  • 1/2 cup onions paste 
  • 1 tsp garlic-ginger paste
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup carrot paste
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder  
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp homemade garam  masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 anise 
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 cardamom 
  • 1 stick cinnamon 
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp raisins 
  • 1 tbsp butter 
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream for garnish
Method :

Heat butter in a pan, fry paneer cubes for a minute on the medium flame, keep aside. Heat oil in the same  pan, add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, anise, crackle them and add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes. Now add garlic-ginger paste, onion paste and saute for  minutes. Now add all spices powder, salt and saute for 5 minutes. Add carrot paste and tomato puree and fry for 5-7 minutes. Now add green peas and raisins and cook for 2 minutes on the medium flame. Now add a bowl of water to the masala and let the gravy  boil for 5 minutes. Add the fried cottage cheese (paneer) and cook for 5 minutes on the medium flame. Turn off the flame.
garnish with the fresh cream and serve with rice, pulao, puris.
