Rasgulla Recipe

Ingredients :
  • 1 Liter Milk 
  • 1 cup sugar 
  • 4 cups water 
  • 1 lemon juice 
Method :
Heat milk in a pan, when it starts boiling and switch off the flame. Now add lemon juice and stir properly. Heat further until the whey water clearly separates. Now pour milk in the muslin lined strainer and wash it well with chill water. Squeeze the excess water and hang it aside for 1 hrs. Now take out the chenna (cottage cheese) in a bowl and knead it gently till it becomes soft and smooth. Make smooth equal sized small balls of chenna (cottage cheese).

Make the sugar syrup, in a pressure cooker, add water and sugar. When sugar dissolved completely and the syrup boils. Now, add chenna balls carefully one by one. Now cover the cooker and cook it one whistle and turn off the flame. Now chill and serve.
